Steemfest (jp)
Steemfestは2016年11月11日から13日にアムステルダムで開催されたSteemitの最初のミートアップカンファレンスである。ソフトウェア開発者でイベント企画者のRoeland Landegent（@roelandp）によってSteemitユーザーが実際の生活で集い、会うために企画された。2016年9月12日のアナウンスで彼は「Steemitは素晴らしい。世界中の多くのSteemianが実際に会うことができればどんなにクールなのだろうか」と述べた。そして、SteemFest（企画中のタイトルはSteemCon）のアイデアが生まれた。[1]
RoelandはSteemitのCEOで共同設立者のNed Scottにコンタクトを取ってSteemit Chatで対面で集まるアイデアを提案し、そのコンセプトはSteemit, Incに受け入れられた。ボーナスとして各出席者は多くのSteemパワーを受け取った。
2017年5月17日、Steemfestwebサイトは第2回の日付をアナウンスする前にニュースレター申し込みフォームをオープンした。数日後の5月30日、SteemFest²が同年11月1日から5日にリスボンで開催されることがアナウンスされた。[2]
講演者と参加者
最初のイベントには35人の講演者と206人の参加者が31カ国から集まった：オーストリア、ベラルーシ、ベルギー、ブルガリア、ブラジル、カナダ、中国、デンマーク、フランス、ドイツ、ギリシャ、ハンガリー、インドネシア、アイルランド、インド、日本、マレーシア、メキシコ、ノルウェー、オランダ、リトアニア、パナマ、 、ロシア、スペイン、スウェーデン、タイ、イギリス、アメリカ。約25％の聴衆が開発者で、全参加者の35％が女性だった。[3]
STEEMの受け入れ
参加者の多くは旅費をプラットフォームで得たSteemドル（SBD）を使って払った。Maurice Mikkers（@mauricemikkers）による小さな展示エリアでは、"tear catcher"という特別な高解像度の顕微鏡を使って25SBDで涙を撮影していた。[3]
