Bittrex (es)
Bittrex (es) es una plataforma para la compraventa de criptomonedas. Es usada principalmente por tenedores de criptomonedas como el Bitcoin y el Steem (es). De acuerdo a Bloomberg, la compañía fue fundada en el 2014 y su sede se encuentra en Las Vegas; Nevada, U.S.A.[1]
En su página de Facebook, ellos se describen como la plataforma de compraventa de criptomonedas de nueva generación construida y operada en los Estados Unidos por criptoentusiastas con amplia experiencia en seguridad y desarrollo. En conjunto suman más de 50 años en la industria de la computación en compañías como Microsoft, Amazon, Qualys y Blackberry donde han tenido sus carreras desarrollando software seguro y escalable. [2]
El 19 de mayo de 2017 el Steemian Kingscrown publicó (@kingscrown) que Bittrex era la primera plataforma de compraventa de criptomonedas que permitía transacciones con de Steem Tokens aunque Poloniex era la Casa de cambio con el volumen de transacciones BTC/Alt más alto en ese momento. [3]
El 10 de julio de 2016, unos pocos dás después de los primeros pagos con Steem Tokens en día 4 de julio, uno de los fundadores de Bittrex Richie publicó su Introduceyourself en Steemit, (@bittrex-richie), refiriéndose también a otro de los fundarores de Bittrex Bill Shihara (@bittrex-bill).[4]

Bittrex, al igual que Poloniex, generalmente se usa por Steemians como una plataforma para convertir Steem y Steem Dollars (SBD) (es) en Bitcoin u otras divisas.
Debido a que los usuarios no podían usar Bittrex para retiros en fiat, se convirtió para los Steemians en una plataforma para transferir sus Bitcoins a sus billeteras (Wallets) o a otras plataformas de compraventa de divisas que aunque no aceptaban Steem, si permitían convertir Bitcoin en monedas fiat, y en consecuencia permitía a los usuarios depositar fiat en sus cuentas bancarias. Una de ellas era CRXZone.
